Delete your account yourself

The fastest way is in the app, and it takes effect immediately:

• Sign in and open Settings.
• On the Account tab, scroll to the Danger Zone, choose Delete Account, and confirm.

There is no grace period and deletion cannot be undone. If you have an active Pro subscription, we cancel it first, so you are not charged again. If the payment provider cannot confirm the cancellation, the account is kept and you see an error, so please try again or contact us.

What is deleted

• Your account and profile (name and email), and your sign-in.
• All recordings and their version history.
• Stored credentials and saved browser sessions.
• Schedules, run records, extracted results, and your API tokens and webhook settings.
• Run videos and screenshots in storage, and your security and audit events.

What may remain, and for how long

• Payment records held by Paddle, our payment reseller,, as long as tax and accounting law requires. We do not keep your card details.
• Operational logs from our hosting provider, which record the deletion event with your user ID and email, are kept for a short period under that provider's log retention rules.
• Backups made by our database provider may hold copies until they roll off on the provider's normal schedule. Deleted data is not restored into the live service.
• Information we must keep to meet a legal obligation or to establish or defend a legal claim.

If you cannot sign in

Email info@browseotter.comfrom the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it is you, delete your data, and confirm by email within 30 days, usually much sooner. Do not include your password. If you also want a refund, see Refunds.

Other privacy requests

To access, correct, export, or restrict your data instead of deleting it, email info@browseotter.com. You can export each recording as JSON in the app at any time. Run records, videos, and screenshots are also deleted automatically 30 days after each run. More in our Privacy Policy.
